These are the 100 poems of varied length that I wrote today by Santino Dela
What crazy individual writes 100 poems in a day? Who does that? That’s like writing tons of blog posts every day. I find it insane, the kind of insane I respect. Lately work ethic and madness have gone hand in hand here on internet land. Bebe Zeva thread proves that. Santino Dela’s 100 poems are proof that all which is quick is not shit.
Steve Roggenbuck gets a shout out in the first poem. Clearly Santino wants to live up to Steve’s prolific state of poetics. Few can. Ear things scare me. I have wrap-around headphones on even when I am listening to nothing. Hear the world with headphones on and you’ll be better off. Trust me I’m a sloth. Poor Santino is poor. I am too. We all are. Alt lit does not bring ‘money’ in the conventional sense, or even the unconventional sense. Feel when you enter alt lit you take a vow of poverty. He gives his opinion, man. Do not harsh his vibes. Failure is the new success. Get ready to fail more than you have ever failed in your entire life.
Co-boost theory comes up. I believe in it. Few see my blog. My friends have yet to understand my blogging life. When they ask what I’m doing on a Friday night, I lie and say I’m watching re-runs on the USA network of ‘NCIS’ because I am a 38 year old loser. They feel sorry for me. NCIS is easier to explain than blogging. Some days I wonder why I blog. Why we blog: A Lifetime Original movie.
Become the captain of thought control (catalog) on this penmanship. It is the good penmanship lollipop. Glad his goal is to never achieve his goals. That’s a humble goal. I doubt Santino can achieve his goal of doing nothing. Right now it seems like Santino is doing a whole lot. Earth is a big planet. We may never meet. Know that I love you despite our distance. No room is left for the haters in this series of poems. I am happy about that. Haters can buy their own condos for sulking.
Glad poems represent times we are not ‘masturbating’. Famous writers manage both. Poets I know refrain from such activities while ‘in the zone’. A store that sells only e-books – it is called Amazon and it has made me literally eight dollars. Real publishers do not sign me because I am a sloth. There is this perception sloths do not make good writers. I think I am a pretty okay writer. Poetry and the art of expression create new cultures. How do you think you ended up on this site? Without writers I am nothing.
Halfway through Santino goes wild. By now he knows he’s halfway through. Yet he must continue because something in his heart tells him to proceed. Write millions of words a year, get real paid. That’s how it works. Where do you think I got these singles of dollars? He acknowledges the difficultly of his endeavor. I hope he read later that day. Poets are friendly people. I meet hundreds of poets a day on the internet. They should buy my t-shirts. Or you can. I’m cool either way.
Your world is your best place. Hide in your world. Put on headphones. Pull the covers over your head. Make sure your internet connection is working. Get lost in a world of your choosing. The internet is the only place you can make the world exactly what you want it to be. It is a beautiful place and it loves you.
Love this collection. It shows the power of one person on one day. You can do this too. You may not want to but Santino shows the possibilities are endless. Write your heart out. Write your brain out. Empty your mind and full it again with big beautiful things.
