“ARE WE SURFING THE NET, OR IS THE NET SURFING US?” by Steve Roggenbuck

                Steve Roggenbuck asks the tough questions everyone is afraid to ask. If Socrates ever vlogged it might look a little something like Steve’s output. Questions are thrown out without an answer. If a man tweets and nobody is following him can it get a favorite? These are difficult questions in our Gilded Age of the Internet. Worry about the internet depression but with Steve around there is no lack in content or quality.

                Yes three tabs is a small number of tabs to have open. Many tabs must be open to truly appreciate the internet in all its glory. Feel the internet is the main way we have feelings anymore. Without the internet who tells you what works and what doesn’t. I use my twitter to figure out what sayings of mine are ‘hot’ and which are ‘not’. That way my IRL conversations are peppered with little tweet-sized sayings to show I truly respect my online presence. 

                Noam Chomsky sells stuff through his internet presence. Since Chomsky is so old he only has a Myspace page. Right now he sells a lot of stuff. So after a hard day of thinking Chomsky likes to go home and check out how many people bought his shot glasses. They celebrate his varied work in linguistics and from his political observations. 

                Live Jasmin Chat rooms pay well. Frank Hinton writes all her poetry from Live Jasmin. Think she is completely anonymous? Think again because you are wrong as hell. Love Frank Hinton. I am glad Frank Hinton and I hang out all the time in Switzerland, drinking hot cocoa and laughing about this crazy life we lead. In fact it was Frank who suggested the Pink Octopus go on Live Jasmin. So back off Steve the Pink Octopus is trying to ‘live its life’! 

                Right now Nebula Dog is in space. He is on Mars checking out the soil. According to Nebula Dog the soil is ‘good’. Glad America spent so much money finding out how good other planets are for settlement by rich people. Currently the Mars Rover is busy building charming Dutch Colonials on Mar’s surface. 

                The net is surfing us. Every time you go online the internet learns a little bit more about you. It learns what you buy, where you go, what sort of vices you possess, and how to improve your online experience. Life is a big photoshop project. How else would ‘Nebula Dog’ even exist? God created Nebula Dog as soon as God got a Tumblr. That’s God’s life right now. 

                Indeed Steve sticks up for the little internet people. Am I a little internet person? No I am a sloth. Thus I need even more boosts to get a seat at the table of the internet. Steve is the Socrates of alt lit.
